Scale Models Cars
Car Scale Models
Scale model Cars are miniature representations of actual real world vehicles. They might be sports cars, trucks or buses, or perhaps even some exotic mode of transport. Initially these models were created for older children, building projects for those too old for simple toys. But over time they started to catch on with adult hobbyists. This is partly because the scale models became more elaborate and detailed over time, so they could be taken more seriously and not be dismissed as toys. And partly because a few individuals who start model building as children retained the hobby as they grew up.
Car scale models are visually appealing and ideal as collectibles and for display.
The advent of 3D printing and computer modeling means that hobbyists and collectors are no longer limited to commercial kits. It is a relatively simple matter to produce a 3D model of any vehicle, provided it can be scanned into the computer or be produced with graphic software.
Car Model Decals
Because of the size reduction of scale models it can be hard to add the tiny details. It is not too difficult to create 3D physical details, if the 3D printer it advanced enough for such fine details. But it can be virtually impossible to paint on tiny details like number plats, text, insignia, or any other fine colours to a model car. This is where decals are useful.
Model decals provide tiny details for any surface, far finer than can be produced with regular paint. Modern computers with a printer can easily produce decals on inkjet decal paper. It is a relatively simple matter to scan images or design them with a graphic program, and then print them on inkjet decal paper.
Model Trains
Most of the techniques used with model cars can also be applied to model trains. As a bonus, the 3D printing and inkjet decal paper can be used for the train layout, adding neat details like traffic signs and shop displays.

Inkjet decal paper can be used to add fine details to model cars, train and other vehicles. Print your own decal designs on any computer printer system.
