Scale Models
There has always been a certain appeal in scale models. Young children are fascinated by toys, which are a type of scale model. Older children and teens often build scale models of aircraft or other vehicles as a hobby, And a few continue this as adults.
As children we use the models as toys. As adults the models are display items, and often the result of considerable time and effort. These scale models for adults are almost always more detailed that toys, with much of the fine detail provided by decals.
Custom models can have their own decals created with inkjet decal paper. This allows us to print anything that we can put on a computer screen, from scanned photos and graphics to original images made through computer software.
With a combination of 3D printing and decals (and probably a fair deal of paintwork) we can create virtually anything.

Model trains are usually purchased pre-made. But enthusiasts spend a great deal of time making the realistic layouts for these tiny trains and their tracks. These layouts include tiny models of vehicles, house, buildings, people, animals, road-signs, and many other things from the outside world.
